By:Xinhua  The Men's Judo World Cup took place in Bucharest, Romania on May 19 and 20, 2007. Romania hosted this event for the third year running.
This was the last big qualification tournament before the World Championships due in Rio de Janeiro between Sept. 12 and 17.
More than 400 sportsmen from 40 countries participated. Twenty-four Romanian judokas competed in the contest, with eight of them being members of the Olympic team. The members of the Romanian Olympic team are Claudiu Bastea (73 kg); Costel Danculea (73 kg); Vasile Cojoc (73 kg); Marian Halas (81 kg); Adrian Checiu (81 kg); Bogdan Barbulescu (90 kg); Marius Bucsa (100 kg), and Daniel Brata (100 kg).
